From July 22nd to 28th, the Deafblind Network of Ontario will host the 18th International World Conference of Deafblind (DbI) in Ottawa, Canada. The Shaw Centre, renowned for its accessibility and international event hosting, will serve as the venue.
The DbI World Conference takes place every four years worldwide and provides a unique platform for leaders, experts, accessibility professionals, and individuals with deafblindness to convene. This year's conference will welcome approximately 600 participants, including DbI members and staff, students, and key industry representatives.
The conference aims to be more than a knowledge exchange and networking platform, as it will also feature an extensive social program. Together, we will explore topics crucial to the deafblind community and investigate innovative solutions that foster inclusivity and expand rights and opportunities.
As Vice President of DbI, Bernadette M. Kappe stated, "The spirit of DbI is one that is very special and everyone feels included.»
We look forward to welcoming you at our 4Blind booth (B-10), where we will showcase our solutions.
See you in Ottawa!
